When Sierra Nevada and Dogfish Head team up for a collaboration brew, you know two things. One that it’s going to be different and two that it’s going to be a well crafted beer! No doubt that Life and Limb is both of those. From Sierra Nevada’s signature pillowy foamy head, to Dogfish Head’s love of weird ingredients.

Life and Limb is listed as simply an “ale” without a given style. At 10% its probably sufficient to say American Strong Ale, however I’m sure we could all debate different facets of that. For the weird ingredient side, Life and Limb is brewed with Maple and Birch Syrup. I think the birch syrup adds some bitterness that goes well with the hops, but I’m not sure as I can’t say I’ve tasted straight birch syrup before.
